Collection: Trees

Canada has got a lot of trees. Other than above the arctic circle, you can't go to far without bumping into one. This is particularly true around my studio and, not surprisingly I suppose, I paint a trees quite frequently. 

And I'm not alone. Some of the most iconic Canadian artists are identified by their paintings of trees. For example, Tom Thomson "The Jack Pine" or Lawren Harris "North Shore, Lake Superior" to name a few. Trees are an important part of a landscape artist's toolkit.
