This work originated from my trip out to Parrsboro, Nova Scotia in 2022. In case you've never been there, it's gorgeous. It's right on the Bay of Fundy where they have some of the tallest tides in the world. It's also site of an annual plein air festival.

Description
"Paradise Island" is a serene coastal landscape, marked by soft, muted colors and an overwhelming sense of tranquility. The composition features a rugged shoreline extending from the left, captured with earthy brown and green tones that convey the texture of the cliffside. The sea is indicated with gentle, pale blues and whites, seamlessly merging into the sky. The sky itself presents a wash of gentle blue, gradually transitioning into warmer hues at the horizon.
In the foreground, a blend of grasses and sandy textures comes to life through light brushstrokes and dabs of white, lending an impressionistic and lively feel. The artwork emphasizes peaceful natural beauty, with a focus on light and atmosphere.
