Joe's cottage exuded charm. Unlike many modern cottages, which are essentially homes by the water, Joe's place maintained its rustic appeal. It was a ramshackle abode, featuring an old cast iron stove for warmth, bare floors, and single pane windows. It was the kind of place where maintenance was minimal, but character was abundant.
